MALACHITE

Malachite is one of the main symbols of Russia. It is now very difficult to say when malachite was discovered. It has been mentioned since Ancient Egypt. At that time, this mineral was associated with the name of the goddess Hathor, the patroness of the family, fertility and female beauty. Colour plays a special role in the description of a mineral. It is heterogeneous and forms a various patterns, ranging from light green and turquoise to dark green, almost black. It is believed that the average shade corresponds to the colour of the green part of the mallow. The texture of the stone is called velvet, and on the chips – satin.

Meaning
From the Greek "malakos" — "soft". According to another version-from the Greek "malache", meaning "mallow" — a plant whith leaves that are similar in colour to malachite.

Healing properties
The healing properties of the malachite are the following: normalization of an unstable emotional state; lowering blood pressure; relief of cramps in various diseases; easing pain in arthritis; relief of asthma attacks; for women - easing pain syndrome during childbirth. Since malachite lowers blood pressure, it is not suitable for hypotonics!

The mineral is endowed with the ability to make its owner invisible to enemies, to avert unfriendly looks.
