Clove Essential Oil (Eugenia Caryophyllus leaf oil) is obtained from distilling clove leaves. Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
The clove tree is an evergreen tree that grows wild on the Maluku Islands in Indonesia and is grown in Tanzania, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brazil, Jamaica and Guinea. The word clove comes from the Latin ""clavus"" due to the dry buds that look like little nails. This species was also know to the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. In her book, Morborum Causae et Curae, Saint Hildegard wrote that clove is one of the ingredients in remedies for headache, migraines, and deafness after a cold; she said that clove warms those who are cold and cools those who are feverish.
It has multiple cosmetic benefits and properties: its an antimicrobial, pediculicide, and acaricide, it detoxes, protects muscle tissue, and is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. It protects the skin and hair against oxidative processes.

Usage mode: Use: Topical use. Perfume to be diluted in a carrier oil. Max. recommendation: 1% (facial use) and 3% (body use).
Cautions: Topical use. Avoid contact with your eyes and other sensitive areas. Keep out of the reach of children. Consult your doctor before using during pregnancy, breastfeeding or with any other medical treatments. Some essential oils are sensitive to light, so dont expose skin to the sun after use. Store in a cool (<25ºC), dry place, away from light. Flammable.
