JASPER
Jasper is a mixture of quartz and chalcedony with various impurities. It has been known to people since prehistoric times. According to an ancient legend, it is the ancestor of all minerals. The first jewellery was made in ancient Egypt. Very often, Jasper was used for decoration of temples, residential houses of the nobility, laid out their baths in ancient Rome. The most unique product that exists today is a huge Buddha statue from Thailand. It is made from a single piece of green Jasper and weighs 5 tons.
Meaning
Jasper means "spotted or sand stone." In Russia, it became "jaspis" or "aspis". Other names of mineral: basanite, Jasper agate, German and Swiss lapis, meat agate, tiger stone.
Healing properties
The mineral affects the human body as a whole, normalizes the work of the nervous system. It was often used to treat epilepsy, relieve toothache. Stones of oval or teardrop shape charge with energy, while spherical ones are able to accumulate it .
